Pray for our daughter
Pastor Tony Raker,
I noted in your prayer requests that you have been challenged with your son’s surgeries. I have been praying for him. A friend in Coeur d’Alene Idaho told me your church has a reputation as prayer warriors spanning the world. I am desperately seeking as many Christians as I can to pray for our 9 year old daughter, Grace. She was diagnosed with cancer last November and she has been a trooper in fighting it. She is in remission now and the doctors say it looks promising She said to me this is good because she is tired of being sick and hurting every time they put those chemo drugs in her and she wants her hair back. She is so calm, telling me that God has a plan for her. She knows this because an angel told her so in her dreams. She is happy to everyone she meets and is often the one to comfort them when they cry looking at her bald head and tubes in her. But she admits the chemo is very painful and she is tired all the time. Her last chemo treatment was in August and we are waiting for test results to continue to show the cancer is gone. My husband is a farmer in Walla Walla, WA where we grow 40 acres of Vidalia onions. The valley smells like onions from May through September. Our daughter loves to help with the farm, rising at dawn and getting the eggs from our chickens, caring for the lambs in the spring, and helping her Dad plant onion bulbs every April and June. She could not do much this year but is looking forward to helping next growing season. The kids at her school have been great, having an early Easter party in February when it looked like she might not make it to Easter. She insisted she knew she would be ok because an angel that has been telling her so her in her dreams. He kept telling her that Jesus loves her and it is not ehr time to join Him. When we brought her home two weeks ago, the whole town seemed to line the country road and our driveway, welcoming our angel home. Many had tears in their eyes. The cafe made us meals and they or townspeople who ate there would bring the meals by our house. Our refrigerator was always stocked. We never had to cook this summer! And several neighbors helped harvest both crops of onions in June and this month. We would come home to find our bins full and delivery trucks already scheduled for pick up. God is good! Please pray for our Grace. Of course I include your Alex in our prayers. May God’s will bring us happiness and joy with His blessings and acceptance when His plan is not to our liking. He is in control!
God bless you, Tony Raker! and your Alex!
